Configuration for Chrome

Please do the following instructions otherwise Chrome can bypass AdShield.

(These instructions are not required if your device is running Android 6.0 or Chrome version is above 84)

Step one: disable async DNS resolver

• Type chrome://flags in the address bar, hit enter
• Search for async DNS resolver (#enable-async-dns) (Can’t find it? Skip this step)
• Choose disabled in the drop down menu

Step two: clear DNS cache

• Type chrome://net-internals in the address bar
• Navigate to the DNS tab and tap “Clear host cache” (Can’t find it? Skip this step)
• Then restart Chrome

Step three: clear Chrome cache

• Long press Chrome icon
• Navigate to App info and tap “Storage & cache”
• Tap “Clear cache“
• Then restart Chrome

Step four: switch on AdShield and enjoy!
